Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
Acceptance of terms
By using PermitPass (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Educational tool, not an official DMV
PermitPass is an independent, unofficial study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or otherwise connected to any state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or equivalent government agency. Our practice questions are modeled after publicly published exam topics; they are not the actual questions from official DMV written exams.
Passing the PermitPass practice test does not guarantee passing your real DMV permit exam. For official requirements, fees, and current laws, always verify with your state's DMV.
Free service
PermitPass practice tests are free. We reserve the right to add premium features in the future, but the core DMV permit practice tests will remain free.
Account & user conduct
If you create a free account, you are responsible for the security of your credentials. You agree not to abuse the Service: no scraping, no automated bot traffic, no attempts to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform.
Content accuracy
We work hard to keep practice questions, traffic laws, and state-specific requirements accurate. However, laws change. Always verify current rules with your official state DMV before relying on any specific fact. PermitPass is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, PermitPass and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including, but not limited to, failure of a real DMV exam.
Intellectual property
The PermitPass name, logo, design, and original content are the property of the operator. The state license-plate visual styles and state names are factual references and not trademarks of PermitPass.
Changes to the terms
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
