Privacy Policy

Summary

PermitPass is a free DMV practice test platform. We respect your privacy: we do not sell personal data, we do not require an account to use the practice tests, and we use only essential analytics to improve the product.

What we collect

Without an account: Anonymous analytics (page views, language preference, state selected) via Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics. No personally identifying information is collected.

With an account: Your email address (for login), your practice history, your language preference, and your selected state. Used only to provide the service.

Local storage:Your language and last-selected state are stored in your browser's localStorage so the app remembers your preferences. This data never leaves your device unless you sign up.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your data to third parties.
  • We don't serve targeted ads.
  • We don't track you across other websites.
  • We don't share your practice answers with anyone.

Third-party services

We use Google Analytics (anonymized IP) for traffic insights and Vercel Analytics for performance monitoring. Both providers may set cookies on your device. You can opt out via your browser settings or browser extensions like uBlock Origin.

Your rights

You can clear your localStorage at any time via your browser's site settings. If you created an account, you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us on LinkedIn.

Children

PermitPass is intended for learner-driver applicants typically aged 14 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.
